Approved by Tianjin Municipal Government and confirmed by State Environmental Protection Bureau, Tianjin Rsources Recycling Industry District is the largest professional district engaging in import and export out of date electromechanical products collection dismantlement and processing in the north area of China. It is authorized as national out of date ekectromechanical products collection processing demonstration district by the State Environmental Protection Administration of China in 2007 and national out of date and old electronic message products reclaiming, dismantlement and disposal demonstration base by the Ministry of Information Industry of the PRC.

At present, there are 88 companies in the district. The annual dismantalement abililty is 1,500,000-2,000,000 tons and can offer 500,000 tons copper used as raw materials, 350,000 tons aluminum, 300,000 tons iron and 350,000 tons rubber and plastic materials as well as other materials. It supplies Tianjin and its surrounding province and areas with large amount of raw materials and has formed the largest distributing center of renewable resource and non-ferrous metal.
